October 2008 Newsletter
By now you have probably noticed we did not have a September Newsletter. As mentioned in the August Newsletter there are a number things underway. However, the wheels of beauracracy move slowly and as a result there was not much new to report.
We can now report that the subdivision application has been submitted to the Town of Fort Macleod and will be on the agenda at the November town council meeting. To get to this position we had to determine exact boundaries for the parcel being subdivided. Working closely with Halma Surveys, we were able to finalize these boundaries and move forward. The parcel we are purchasing is now officially 83.9 acres.
Work has commenced on the erection of a roadside billboard to be rented to Great West Kenworth. This will provide SADRA with a monthly advertising revenue. We would like to get a few more merchants interested in renting billboards.
To expedite getting information out to enthusiasts, we are in the process of implementing a system that would provide all the area clubs with information on the current status of the Tailwind Raceway facility. This involves setting up “Information Liaison Officers” in each club. These officers would be provided with the proper information to present to their club. This would help to dispel many of the rumors about SADRA that are floating around.
